OVERDRIVE

THE TEAM

We are Team Overdrive and are a group of 5 senior pupils from Aberdeen Grammar School, with various project management roles ranging from Design Engineer to Finance Manager. Our team was carefully selected out of the vast amount of potential competitors to compose an ideal team to participate in this challenge. The best members with multiple project management roles were selected to form Overdrive. We are participating in the “F1 in schools” challenge as Team Overdrive and we have already competed at the regionals final where we became the Scottish Champions of the professional class in F1 in Schools, along with is we also won the“Fastest F1 Car” and the “Best Engineered Car” awards.

We will be competing in the “F1 in school” UK Nationals finals because of our performance in the regional finals, which this year is to be held at the Airbus Factory in Broughton, Wales. At this level, we aim to place within the top 2 teams of the whole of UK or 1st in Scotland, which will allow for our team to progress onto World finals.
